Review: Lost at Sea by Bryan Lee O’Malley

Lost at SeaLost at Sea by Bryan Lee O’Malley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Well another zany book from the master of zany storytelling Bryan Lee O’Malley although not quite as zantastic as his Scott Pilgrim series.

It starts with the main character Raleigh just brooding about her lost soul while road tripping with classmates. Lost soul you say well a cat has it or her mother sold it to the devil for success not really sure but it doesn’t really matter. Where this book shines is in the awkward conversations our introvert Raleigh has with her fellow classmates.

The art is very cartoony but I think it’s a perfect fit for the mood of the book. Here’s an example

Also if it weren’t for all the F bombs this would be a great YA book. So I guess I think it’s pretty great and stuff, go check it out.
